At the Nativity we try to help each other to develop our potential, achieve our aspirations and meet our needs. We also visit the ill, the elderly and welcome those seeking asylum. Our overall aim at the Nativity is to make a real positive difference in the lives of the people of Aylestone Park, enabling local people to more fully develop their potential, meet their aspirations and address their needs. We engage with the communityThe Church hosts local residents groups meetings and community consultation groups. Church members are also active in supporting local charities and exploring activities with young people. The Church has a history of community involvement and concern through its membership. Church members already have strong, active links with the local community including visiting the housebound, the ill and the elderly, supporting local residents, helping in charity shops, and befriending refugees. We care about the environmentThe Church of the Nativity is an Eco-Congregation and our environmental activities are currently concentrated in the areas of worship, recycling, youth activities and community and global initiatives. The Nativity is also a registered Fairtrade Church with both the Leicester Diocese of the Church of England and the Leicester Trinity Circuit of the Methodist Church. We worship God
